Introduction

This privacy policy applies to the Matedoro app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created as a Free service.

Information Collection and Use

The Application stores all data locally on your device by default. No account or internet connection is required to use the app.

If you choose to sign in with Google, the following additional data is collected to enable cloud backup and cross-device sync:

Data Stored Locally (always)

• Pomodoro timer settings and preferences
• Completed work session history
• Tasks and task reminders
• Routines, routine completions, and routine reminders
• Notification settings and schedules (device-specific, never synced)

Data Collected When You Sign In (optional)

• Google account email and display name — used to identify your account
• Google profile photo URL — displayed in the app settings
• Your app data (settings, tasks, routines, timer sessions, completed pomodoros) — synced to a secure cloud database so you can access it across devices
• Sync error logs — if a sync error occurs, technical details are logged to help us diagnose issues

Third-Party Services

When you sign in, the Application uses the following services:

• Google Sign-In — for authentication only. We receive your email, name, and profile photo. We do not access your contacts, files, or any other Google data.
• Supabase — a hosted database service (servers in Europe) used to store your synced app data. Supabase acts as a data processor on our behalf. Supabase Privacy Policy

No data is shared with advertisers, analytics providers, or any other third parties.

Data Security

• All data transmitted to the cloud is encrypted in transit via HTTPS/TLS
• Cloud data is protected by Row Level Security — only you can access your own data
• Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device
• Local data security depends on your device's security measures

Permissions

The Application requires the following permissions:

Android Permissions

• WAKE_LOCK - Keeps the device awake during active Pomodoro sessions
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE - Allows the timer to continue running when the app is in the background
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED - Restores scheduled notifications after device restart
• VIBRATE - Provides haptic feedback for timer alerts
• SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM - Ensures precise timing for work and break intervals
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS - Sends notifications for session start/end
• INTERNET - Required for Google Sign-In and cloud sync (only when you choose to sign in)

Children's Privacy

The Application does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. The Application is suitable for all ages.

Data Retention and Deletion

You have full control over your data:

• Without an account: All data is stored only on your device. Uninstalling the app or clearing app data removes everything.
• With an account: When you sign out, you can choose to clear your local device data. Your cloud data remains stored securely until you request its deletion.

To request deletion of your account and all associated cloud data, please email us at:

Include the Google account email you used to sign in. We will delete all your cloud data within 7 days and confirm by email.

To delete local data on your device, you can either uninstall the app or clear app data from your device settings.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Use the app without creating an account
• Access all your data (stored locally and/or in the cloud)
• Delete your local data by uninstalling the app or clearing app data
• Delete your local data for a specific account by choosing "Clear data" when signing out
• Request complete cloud data and account deletion by contacting us

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes are effective immediately upon posting.
